About me
Hi There. I am Ashrafe Mahmud Prova, a fashion designer based in Dha ka, Bangladesh.
I have received my Bachelor degree in Creative Arts Studies from Dhaka University and have developed a strong skill set in Adobe software and illustration. My passion for fashion and belief in the power of art have enabled me to work with leading brands such as Zara, H&M, and Next to create dynamic prints and exquisite textiles. I am also experienced in collaborating with other professionals in the industry.
In 2014, I founded SAFWANA’S CLOSET, a clothing brand that aims to provide affordable and stylish options for women in the office and students. The brand has grown significantly with a team of more than 50 members and now offers a range of products including ethnic wear, party wear, bridal wear, and winter clothes. By keeping up with new trends and offering budget-friendly prices, SAFWANA’S CLOSET has gained a loyal following of over 80,000 Facebook fans.
In addition to my role as a designer and stylist for SAFWANA’S CLOSET, I am also proficient in makeup artistry and photography. I place a strong emphasis on video content creation and natural themes for product photography, and I strive to hire experienced models and showcase the beauty of the natural world. I am committed to providing fashionable and comfortable options for all women, regardless of their fashion preferences or cultural background. My dedication to this goal has earned me recognition as a young entrepreneur by THE DAILY JUGANTOR and other national publications.

When i started working at SAFWANA’S CLOSETS
That time I was an under graduate but I tried to research from different source like watching Fashion shows, Fashion magazine, following fashion influencers, taking inspiration from leading brands like H&M, Zara. I was the Founder, designer, investor, and online content creator for SAFWANA’S CLOSET.

I started this business with 4 designs and 50$ as a investment at first.

My first award
SAFWANA’S CLOSETS launched it’s first festive catalogue in 2021.It was ethnic wear, I was the designer, stylist and makeup artist that time. All the products were sold out well. A national publisher THE DAILY JUGANTOR published an article about me as a young entrepreneur.

My Design Ethics.
My goal was always working for women who work in office 9 to 5 and students. They need casual wears in budget. So, I started making casual boggy shirts, frocks, stripe shirts, kaftans, muffin sleeve frocks, side cut dress for working ladies and students.

My EARLY LIFE ACHIEVEMNTS.
I have been working on creative drawing from my childhood. In 2007, I completed my junior art school from BANGLADESH SHISHU ACADEMY with 1st position in merit list. During this time, I have achieved numerous awards and certificates from various art competitions like- UNILIVER BAGLADESH,COLGETTE, ACRON RANGEELA,SAVLON. In 2005, 23rd September , I achieved certificate from NONWEGIAN CHILDREN’S MUSEUM for ‘L FOR COURAGE’ in art competition . In 2005, I received the 1st prize and certificate in an art competition of CAMPUS GREEN BANGLADESH. In 8th September 2010, I received certificate from our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for participating in a national art competition which was held by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Venerable Museum. I complete my secondary and higher secondary studies from VIQARUNNISA NOON SCHOOL AND COLLEGE . During my academic years, I was in school’s football team and also a member of science club. I achieved a certificate of Honor from Viqarunnisa noon school science club for participation on science fair and achieved 4th prize. I completed my bachelor degree in creative art studies from university of Dhaka .In 2022,I received a certificate of honor by RIN, UNILIVER BANGLADESH for being a successful local entrepreneur.

How i founded SAFWANA’S CLOSETS.
I started working at SAFWANA’S CLOSETS from 2014, that time Iwas an under graduate but I tried to research from different source like watching Fashion shows, Fashion magazine, following fashion influencers, taking inspiration from leading brands like H&M, Zara. I was the Founder, designer, investor, and online content creator for SAFWANA’S CLOSET. Day by day SAFWANA’S CLOSET has become famous for it’s product quality and customer services. I started this business with 4 design and 50$ as a investment at first, then after 5 years it has become a family of 80,000 facebook fans who love our goods so much. Now-a-days, SAFWANA’S CLOSET have more than 50 members team who contribute their concentration to build up more community and take SAFWANA’S CLOSET to everyone as a reliable clothing brand.
My Business Strategy.
I always believe that creativity has no limit, moreover My strategy is to always explore creative things from different cultures. I love to do experiments with different colors, cultures, patterns, prints and other things belonging to nature. Using natural fabrics is not only very good for our environment but also it’s a support to our local fabric makers. Rajshahi silk, Jamdani , Raw silk, cotton, lilien- are in my priority list. It’s a way to support our local fabric makers.
Most of my workers are ladies. I support them to be independent in their own way. I do believe everyone has their own creativity so it is a rule of my working place that every employee has to make or create something new by the end of the week. I do not want to be rich over night. I want to create my own name with my products and service.
